![]() I've been suggesting such a feature for the main player since I first got on Tidal. TIDAL may not be available in some languages or countries/. I ALSO see that the 'live session' DJ has the ability to end the session after the current track! To play 360 Reality Audio compatible music, you need to subscribe to the TIDAL HiFi plan. )īut it looks like they have the raw materials there to field such a capability. (And, at the moment, even the momentary live session sharing apparently can only happen in the desktop browser version, not the dedicated desktop app. TIDAL is the first global music streaming service with high fidelity sound, hi-def video quality, along with expertly curated playlists and original content making it a trusted source for music and culture. They would just need to tinker it to get around the built in multi-use restrictions. It’s a very capable DAC based around a quality ESS DAC chip, and besides MQA, it also decodes PCM up to 384 Khz and Double Rate DSD (5.6 MHz). And, for about a half minute, it worked.īut then it cut off, as I'd been sort of expecting, since, you know, technically it was two sessions on the same account, even though only one had control.īUT it DOES suggest that the raw capability is there. I was thinking, maybe I could set up a 'Live Session' from my mobile and listen on my desktop, where my good playback is. The Mouse remote does allow some 'added' mouse functions like scrolling (drag with two fingers), but, again, you sort of have to be in sight of your PC screen OR flip back and forth with the Screen remote, which is awkward. For greater control, there's a 'Mouse' remote, though it doesn't incorporate screen mirroring. There's no dedicated Tidal remote available for it currently, but you can control more or less everything using the generic Media remote in combination with the screen-mirroring function that lets you see your PC screen on your phone and even has a simple mouse pointer built in. I use the Unified Remote (paid tier, I think it's around $5, but definitely try the free version first to make sure you like the way it works you do have to load a small-ish background software utility that acts as a 'receiver'). There are some options that are less than ideal but still fairly usable. ![]() ![]() HiFi and HifI Plus plans include: - Sound quality up to 1411 kbps (lossless and crisp) for HiFi master quality up to 9216 kbps, Dolby Atmos and Reality 360 Audio on HiFi Plus. A dedicated remote control function would be ideal, to be sure. Try TIDAL free for 30 days, and choose from a range of plans across HiFi or HiFi Plus, family, and others.
